Eliana's visit and projects

Her "E" box that she wanted to make to keep stuff in.  She picked her papers and just wanted flowers and her initial with a little bling on top!  It turned out quite nice!
This is a card that I made from scraps while she was working on another project.  Colorful and fun to use up all those extra pieces - some that have been in the scrap drawer for a couple years!
She wanted a card with a bow and likes to have her initial on things so we came up with this simple card idea...  I like it and think this would be a great idea to make a set of these to give to a little girl as a gift.
Eliana made this one with pieces she had punched - she discovered that she loved punching out butterflies and flowers - I think she took a couple hundred butterflies home with her.  They could be stuck to her wall by now!
She liked the little boxes so here's another project we made out of scraps from Christmas 2 years ago!  Just a hodge podge on top with the same green die cut trees around each side of the box.
E made this from scraps too - pretty good for an 8 year old!
This was the big project of the day.  Of all the project samples in my work room - she wanted to make a mini purse so...we spent a couple hours on it and she was a "happy camper"!  This made her visit a success and we were able to make a few other projects with scraps from this one.

Jeweled alaphabet idea

This is not a project I did but something I found while looking through card and craft photos to add some updated projects.  I don't remember where I found it but very possible it is from pinterest. I think I will make one soon!

Snow day = Snow card!

 From this...
To this!
Waking up to unexpected snow and having a day to spend inside,
well, what would you do?  I would make cards and other fun things!
Snow day = Snow card!

Shelf construction!

Need a new shelf?  Then build one!  This was a different project but
I drew it out on paper, marched right up to the building supply store,
purchased my wood & paint and headed home to construct!
It's simple but functional - just what I needed to get all those "necessary"
stamp pads and supplies out of the way!  And I got to use my beaded, rhinestone,
feather hammer (yes, I made that too!)!

Christmas Poinsettias

I love Poinsettias and this is my favorite for 2013.
This is an older "retired" stamp set but still one of my favorites!

Fabulous Dress card!

Took a little break from Christmas cards to make
something a little sassy and fun!
Of course, I kept it in some of my favorite
Christmas colors...Cherry Cobbler!

Assorted Gift Tags

Fun gift tags! I save every scrap & odd piece so
I made it my mission yesterday to dig through it & make something out of the mess.
Here's what I came up with!

Christmas Pines

Christmas Pines with coordinating envelope and gift tag
Simple but beautiful project!
These would be great for a workshop to make
a dozen or two cards

Christmas Countdown Box

12 days of Christmas Countdown Box
(from a kit, no doubt)
Well, this is a first!  For those of you who know me, know
that I would never use a "kit" because if I use a "kit"
it is not my creation but...this was purchased by a friend who bought
two of them so I could paint it, cut all the pieces and put it together for them.
I did theirs a couple years ago and put the other kit in the closet thinking that I would "never"
do the kit thing but...things change and to get a few projects done quickly in my
new workroom - I caved and did it!
I must say - it is cute and if for nothing else - it will provide a pattern for me if I decide
to do a workshop on a "from scratch" project like this one.  I found the little boxes in a
local craft store and the rest is "easy ~ breezy"
Enjoy!

Simple Christmas

I wanted to knock out something really quick in my workroom so I CASEd
this from a "sister stamper" and added my own twist and colors.

Work room is looking good!

Finally!  After many obstacles this year - my work room is finally looking like a "work room"!
Thanks to my sweet husband for helping me unpack and organize!
Just in time for making Christmas cards and projects!
